Achievements

Since its launch in 1993, the Darwin Initiative has:

  • committed £65,342,757 to 602 projects in 146 countries.
  • held 16 rounds of competition since 1993.
  • involved 197 renowned British institutions.
  • partnered with 764 organisations in host nations
  • contracted the monitoring and evaluation of projects to consultants whose reports so far have confirmed that progress is generally very encouraging.
  • published the results in annual Darwin reports, the tenth of which was published in December 2007, see Darwin Initiative Annual Reports.
