The Darwin projects

Assigning search categories to projects

Assigning search categories (or tags) is limited for projects completed before 2008 and has been restricted to significant contributions to CBD Articles as reported by projects.

However, work is ongoing to provide a much richer set of categories, so check back periodically to monitor progress. Advances in this work will be indicated by further additions to the project menu (above), and additional search fields in the projects and documents search forms.

CBD articles

The Darwin Initiative aims to support host nations in their efforts to implement the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Darwin projects report their level of effort against the CBD articles. In this section, you can discover which projects have reported greater than 20% effort against specific articles of the CBD.

You can find links to the CBD website for each article on the relevant page in this section.
