Darwin Information Project FAQ

Q: Some of the documents made available under my project contain sensitive information - how can this be removed?
A: Send an email to Eilidh Young (darwin-projects@ltsi.co.uk) detailing your concerns. CC the email to the Darwin webmaster (dave@zerofive.co.uk). If you CC the webmaster, the document(s) will be temporarily removed from the website immediately, until the issue is resolved. If you do not CC the webmaster, your issue will be responded to within 30 days.
Q: How can I update the text describing my project (purpose, activities, outputs etc)?
A: This information is maintained in a database by Eilidh Young. Send an email to Eilidh (darwin-projects@ltsi.co.uk) and the database will be updated. The website will then be updated automatically.
Q: The map of my project does not cover the relevant region, and does not show any landmarks related to the project - can this be improved?
A: Yes! You can use the button beneath the map to work out coordinates for important locations. Then, use the project tools link at the bottom of your project details page to send the new features to the webmaster.
Q: Is it possible to display photographs on my project details page?
A: Yes! You can upload photos to the gallery using the "project tools" links at the bottom of your project details page. The photos will be reviewed and processed before they are published to the gallery, which will usually take a few days.
Q: My project has not been placed in the appropriate categories (see menu at right) - who can fix this?
A: Send an email to the webmaster (dave@zerofive.co.uk) explaining how your project should be categorised. Bear in mind that each project will be included in multiple, but not many, categories. Only the most important and relevant categories should be listed.
